Ron did not exactly crush his first stand-up set.

After graduating from the University of South Carolina with degrees in finance and management, Ron seemed headed toward a traditional career in corporate America. It did not take long for him to realize that the path he had prepared for was not necessarily the one he was meant to follow.

At his cousin's urging, Ron took the stage at an Atlanta comedy club for the first time. He got booed.

And he loved it.

What could have been the end of a very short comedy career instead became the beginning of everything that followed. Ron immersed himself in Atlanta's comedy scene, developing the high-energy storytelling, quick wit, and unmistakable point of view that would eventually take him from local stages to audiences across the country.
